Hospital Visits
One Smile at a Time: Pediatric Ward Visit in Mubarak Hospital – Long term hospitalization can take a toll on the patient, the care giver, and the care provider. In Mubarak hospital, there are 4 pediatric wards that contain terminally ill children who are in need of constant care. SI Club Kuwait organized a visit to these children carrying donated gifts (arts, crafts, puzzles, books, etc.) that can put a smile on their faces and teach them personal skills they can use as form of adaptation. Hospital visitations are known to: 1 decreased stress 2 lowered blood pressure 3 less pain 4 lower cholesterol, and 5 better moods.
