The Soroptimist Kuwait Grief Support Group started in October 2017 with a small group of Soroptimist sisters who had experienced some form of grief and met to support one another. We are affiliated with the High Mark Caring Place in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania
Our objectives:
- Training: to train members how to become a grief group facilitator
- Health: to improve group members well-being by encouraging healthy mourning
- Awareness: to raise awareness about the value of grief support groups
- Education: to educate team members on the skill sets needed to become a facilitator
- Empowerment: to empower others to overcome and cope with their grief and help others do the same
- Enable: to enable team members to train others as grief group facilitators
